Safety on Matchr
Effective June 23, 2026
This policy is part of Matchr's private-by-default product approach. It is a pre-launch draft and requires counsel approval before production launch.
Keep it mutual
Matchr works best when attention is mutual, deliberate, and respectful. Ask, listen, and accept a no. Never pressure someone for private media, money, contact details, or an offline meeting.
Use the tools early
You can block, report, hide, mute, and adjust privacy settings from profiles and chats. Use these controls early rather than trying to manage unsafe or unwanted behavior alone.
Private media
Private and view-once media are intended to reduce exposure, not create a guarantee. Do not share another member's private media. Do not rely on a view-once setting as protection against screenshots or recording.
Meet carefully
Keep early conversations in Matchr, avoid sending money, verify details independently, and meet in public when you decide to meet. Tell a trusted person where you are going and leave any situation that feels wrong.
